There are three main programs:
- Education and Transition Center
Mercy Connections Education and Transition Center offers education, information, support and other holistic services in collaboration with other agencies including; VNA Family Room, Vermont State Vocational Rehabilitation Agency and the Institute for Spiritual Development. Adult family members also participate in peer circles of support each week, share weekly experiences, discuss particular issues and help plan future activities at the Center. Currently, around 20 adult family members regularly participate at the Center.
- Mentoring
The Vermont Women's Mentoring Program matches incarcerated women returning to Chittenden County with a locally trained mentor to support a successful transition back into the community and to reduce recidivism. The program is funded by the Vermont Department of Corrections, with a program partnership with Northern New England Tradeswomen. The Women's Mentoring Program has been in operation since October 2003 with 25 mentors and mentees matched each year, including mentors who were previously incarcerated.
- Women's Small Business Program
The Women's Small Business Program (WSBP) fosters entrepreneurial skills and success through introductory 8 hour Getting Serious workshops and an intensive 15 week Start Up training courses offered twice a year and serving around 45 people a year. Start Up results in a bank-ready business plan.
